Unlike in previous games where you came into the festival with your already-established superstar reputation, Forza Horizon 6 will task you with starting from the bottom, all the way at the bottom as you drive around Japan as an unknown. This is a departure from past titles, placing you in a more grounded career progression as you work to build your reputation.

The Horizon Festival path focuses on earning seven Wristbands through curated racing events with specific car restrictions. Festival races require particular car sets for Road, Dirt, and Cross Country events, with faster and more challenging cars unlocking as you climb the ranks.

Between Wristbands, you'll complete thrilling events including spectacular Showcases like 'Chaser

Zero', Horizon's racing mech, and brand-new Horizon Rush obstacle courses at locations like Tokyo

City Docks and Irokawa Space Center. Earn all seven Wristbands and you become a Horizon Legend,

unlocking Legend Island with exclusive events including the Colossus, the longest Goliath event in series history that loops the entire map on the freeway.

The second path, Discover Japan, takes inspiration from Japan's stamp collecting culture. Players earn Stamps by photographing landmarks, delivering food, collecting cars, or completing Horizon Stories. This system unlocks Player Houses with customisable garages, Barn Find rumours, and The Estate, which is a mountain valley where you can build and decorate directly in the open world.

Race Customisation and Co-op Once you've completed a Festival race, the Race Customizer unlocks for that event. Players can adjust Drivatar count (up to 11), season, weather, time of day, laps, Rewind availability, and traffic.

Car themes can be customised with pre-made classes or individually selected vehicles.
